A Cute Screenshot For A Lazy Sunday…

March 21, 2010

They all looked so soft and fuzzy, I couldn’t resist having a seat in the middle of a sea of Tribbles!

"You can keep trilling all you want, curious little furballs! As a Vulcan, I'm immune to your tranquilizing effects!" *glances around nervously*

Captain T’Androma, champion of helpless little critters everywhere, here to save these furry creatures from extinction at the hands of the Klingons! Clearly, there’s no end to the Tribble-love from Cryptic in Star Trek Online, and I’m fine with that. I took on this particular mission (“The Tribble With Klingons”) last night and I thought it did a good job with capturing the spirit of some of the more humorous moments you’ll find in Star Trek. I for one live for the cute little moments like this in my online games.

  1. pfft, their cuteness is lost on me.

“What is the best in life?”
“To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.”

I mean, I should play a Klingon or something.

    • (hide his tribble)

      • That literally made me LOL :D

  2. I got too wrapped up in the nuances of tribble breeding, they ate half my food stash while I was in D.C.! I even played in “Tribble” today in order to get more tribbles. :P

  3. But Vulcans don’t get nervous…

  4. Oh, uh, I mean, uh…crap! Just blame it on the Tribbles!

    • There’s something fishy about that T’Androma, anyways… she doesn’t seem pure Vulcan :P (which is a good thing, in my mind)

      • The ears are probably plastic. And it’s easy to ACT like a Vulcan; just say “something something something LOGICAL something something NO EMOTIONS something something NERVE PINCH.”

      • Why, I’ll show YOU something something nerve pinch! Why, I oughtta–

*ahem* I mean, you both can insult my Vulcan honor all you want, you’ll not incite an emotional response out of me :P

      • It seems like T’Androma is suffering from early onset of that strange Vulcan version of Alzheimer’s. I need a Star Trek geek to help me remember the name of that… :P

      • Bendii Syndrome?

      • There’s also that neurological disease Tuvok was suffering from in “Endgame.” It doesn’t seem to have a name, but the mindmeld to cure it does:

      • LOL so not only am I a fake Vulcan with plastic ears, now I’m a diseased one at that.

And I gotta say, thanks for the links, despite the affronts to my Vulcan-ness, this has been very interesting and educational.

      • @captainruz and @Elliott There we go! See? Vulcan Alzheimer’s. It looks like Fal-tor-voh is the treatment for Bendii Syndome. That sounds like what Tuvok was going through, if I had to guess.

Also, isn’t this proof that Star Trek: Voyager was such a great series? (you can tell MrMMOGamerChick that)

I just remembered. There’s also the once in seven years thing, or whatever, where Vulcans have to mate or LOSE THEIR MIND (with out of control emotions).

      • Dude, pon’farr is like… fan fiction bait. “Oh noes gotta go have the sexy times RIGHT NOW.”
