Steam, You Evil, Evil Bastards

December 22, 2010

Today, I bought a house.

And this:

Ah hell, I figured I’m poor again anyway, what’s 10 dollars more? 🙂

  1. i bought x-com 1, 2, and 3, for about $5. started playing 1 but i think i need to download some mods to fix it.

normally they all cost about $5, which considering the quality I’m observing so far, is way over priced.

    • 5 bucks, that is a damn good price. I want to say this is going to be my only purchase from Steam this holiday season, but if they keep going with these deals… 😐

  2. Congratulations on your new home! Now Big Daddy has a place to visit… 😉

  3. Congratulations!

And, though I completely don’t need it, I’ve received the wife’s permission to get Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Just because it’s on sale right now for $15. So hey, why not?

    • Yeah that’s pretty good! I know I shouldn’t, but I keep checking the steam site daily for sales…

  4. Congrats!!! Nice going with the house too 😉

  5. YAY! A place to live, and something to do there!

  6. Congratulations on your new home! Nice Christmas gift to yourselves.

  7. Congratulations on the house! (FYI, like LotRO, houses require constant payments to maintain access, but unlike LotRO, you can put stuff anywhere you want! Just a tip from a recent first-time homebuyer…)

Steam’s caught me too…$25 bucks over the last few days between some indie titles, FEAR 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2. At their sale prices, it’s too good to pass up…

    Anyway, congrats again!

    • Oh yeah, LOTRO makes me sad sometimes because I have all this stuff and not enough place to put it all in my dinky little human house. We’re going to have the opposite problem with the new house, we’re planning on getting rid of a lot of our old furniture so we’re going to have to start from scratch, which can be a good thing and a bad 😛

  8. Congrats on the new house! And what a perfect way to start living in it: Bioshock 2!!

  9. Nice! Saw you got Bully as well, tell me how that expanded edition goes. I got the original last year and was extremely surprised at just how good it was. Ending was a bit…well, I don’t want to spoil anything. The gameplay itself, as well as the amount of exploration available was very good. In many ways I think Bully surpassed GTAIV.

    • I’m looking forward to playing it, when I have some time. I just can’t pass up some of these deals though, good thing with Steam is I can always get it now and play later, it’ll be there for me when I’m ready 🙂

  10. Gratz on the new house!

  11. To all: Thank you for your kind wishes 🙂
